Bailey Swogger, Staff Writer February 15, 2022
The UNCW softball team could not have started the season any better, going 4-0 in the Charleston Southern Tournament this weekend. The next game of Saturday’s doubleheader was against Charleston Southern. Freshman pitcher Kara Hammock stole the show for the Seahawks, as she pitched a complete game shutout while allowing only three hits in her first collegiate appearance. UNCW won 5-0.
