UNCW Soccer Stadium to host NCAA tournament games

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Ole Miss (10-5-0) and Bowling Green (6-1) are set to match up in the first round of the NCAA women’s soccer tournament on Tuesday, Apr. 27 in the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Rebels enter the tournament for the ninth time, their third appearance in the last four years, and will be led by First-Team All-Southeastern Conference senior Channing Foster, and the SEC Goalkeeper of the year, junior Ashley Orkus.

Bowling Green enters the tournament for the third consecutive year, and as the Mid-American Conference champions. They will be led by a duo of First-Team All-MAC players, redshirt junior Madi Wolfbauer, and former Seahawk redshirt senior Nikki Cox.

The winner will play #8 seed Southern California on Friday, Apr. 30 at 6 p.m.

Unfortunately, neither UNCW men’s nor women’s soccer team made the NCAA tournament this year. But for anyone interested in attending Tuesday’s game, a limited number of tickets are available on UNCWSports.com/BuyTickets for $10. Some tickets may be available the day of at the front gate.
