WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s soccer team moved up four spots to number five in this week’s United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll.

The Seahawks sit at 4-2 this season, and 2-0 in the conference, only falling to NC State in an overtime thriller, and to fifth-ranked Duke earlier this month.

UNCW jumped several teams in the East Region Poll, including Providence College, Marquette, VCU, and St. John’s. Sitting above the Seahawks are Georgetown (8-0), Saint Louis (8-1-0), Hofstra (4-0), and Butler (8-1-0).

Led in scoring by redshirt junior forward Morgan Nanni (3) and senior midfielder Audrey Harding (3), the Seahawks will look to continue moving up the rankings when they travel to play William & Mary on Sunday, March 28 at 1 p.m.
