WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNC Wilmington men’s soccer Head Coach Aidan Heaney announced the club’s 2021 spring schedule earlier this week.

The Seahawks will play 10 matches over the course of the spring semester. The team’s first match will be a home-opener against UNCG on Feb. 6 at 6 p.m.

The regular season schedule has been split evenly with five matches to be played at home and five to be played on the road. The last time the Seahawks and Spartans faced off was back in August 2015 when the Seahawks won 2-1 on the road.

The CAA’s men’s soccer teams will be split into two divisions during the 2021 season. The North will feature Delaware, Drexel, Hofstra and Northeastern while the South contains UNCW, James Madison, Charleston, William & Mary and Elon.

The nine teams will play 4 games in each division against each other and each team will face off against the team closest to them in the opposite division.  The CAA championship will be played April 15-17 at Drexel and will feature the top four teams in the league with the champion earning an automatic seat into the NCAA Tournament.
