WILMINGTON, North Carolina—The Seahawks’ Spring soccer schedule was released yesterday, and head coach Chris Neal announces a 10-game slate for the 2021 season. The schedule will include an even split of five home games and five road games, with the season opener a non-conference match at UNCG on Saturday, Feb. 7, and the final match taking place on Saturday, April 10 against James Madison.

The Feb. 7 start will mark UNCW’s first game in 464 days.

With the shortened season, the CAA has decided to split their 10 teams into two divisions with UNCW joining James Madison, Charleston, William & Mary and Elon in the South division. Each team will play their division rivals once, with the conference championship taking place at Towson on April 15-17 and will include the conference’s top four teams.

The Spring schedule will also include two ACC games, with the team traveling to N.C. State in February and hosting Duke in March. The Seahawks will also play Charlotte, Coastal Carolina and Old Dominion.
