WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Freshman goalkeeper Blair Barefoot has been named the CAA’s Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, after making four saves and recording her second career shutout against William & Mary on Sunday afternoon.

The honor comes a week after Barefoot was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, following her first career shutout against Charleston with six total saves.

Barefoot has played in all seven games this season, only getting scored on five times. She has stopped 80.8% of shots on goal.

Barefoot will look to continue to thrive when the Seahawks play Old Dominion on April 5, at 5 p.m.
