The UNCW men's basketball team took down North Texas in a defensive battle to capture the 2022 Baha Mar Nassau Championship on Sunday night with a final score of 55-51.

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - On Wednesday, Tina Martin got her first win as the UNCW women’s basketball interim Head Coach with a 84-59 victory over Mount Olive, snapping a 21 game losing streak that stretches back to December 2021.

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina - On Monday Nov. 7, the UNCW Seahawks men's basketball team suffered a loss in the first game of the season at the hands of the nation's top-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels.

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks blew through their exhibition match opponents on Wednesday night with an 88-47 routing of Emory & Henry to set up one of the most anticipated games in UNCW basketball history. On Monday, UNCW men’s basketball will travel to Chapel Hill to take on the top-ranked team in the country, the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Lights, camera, madness! UNCW’s Midnite Madness kicks off basketball season

On Friday night, Trask Coliseum's student section was filled and plenty of other fans piled in for UNCW’s annual Midnite Madness to kick off the basketball season. The night featured plenty of UNCW’s best talents including the dance team, cheerleaders, pep band and both men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as some students participating in games for the chance to win prizes.

UNCW women's basketball looks to bounce back this season

After a lackluster 2021-2022 season, with only three wins and nothing to show for in the CAA Tournament, the UNCW women's basketball team looks to turn around the program with leadership from interim head coach Tina Martin. Coach Martin isn’t exactly new to this situation as she turned around a six-win Delaware team in 1998 to conference champions just three years later.
