Skylar Schade is a freshman from Chapel Hill, N.C., majoring in biology and minoring in journalism and chemistry. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, taking care of her plants and skateboarding. She also has a pet snail named Tupac, and three goldfish named after the Three Stooges. After college Skylar hopes to do research and science journalism.
