WASHINGTON D.C. - The Seahawks men’s basketball team prevailed after being down 12 with less than 13 minutes to play to keep their season alive. In the win or go home single elimination CAA tournament, Nick Farrar and the rest of the Seahawks rallied to defeat the Drexel Dragons 73-68.

The UNCW softball team started their season today with games at home against Purdue Fort Wayne, East Carolina and Virginia Tech. The reigning CAA champion Seahawks are coming off of a 32-15 season and begin this year at the top of the CAA preseason poll.

For the second year in a row, the UNCW men's basketball team has set a new school record for consecutive wins in a season. After thirteen straight victories, the Seahawks have not lost a game since the Nov. 18 loss at the University of Connecticut, who is now ranked among the nation's best teams.

Seahawks fall in men’s soccer semi-final

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Despite an 84-degree day in November, an unsettled UNCW crowd had boos raining from the stands early Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks took a heartbreaking loss to the Hofstra Pride 2-1 that will send Hofstra to face Elon for the CAA title on Saturday, but the boos were not because the Seahawks were losing.

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The UNCW men’s soccer team earned a total of nine clean sheets throughout regular season play this year. This achievement assisted them in receiving the no. 2 seed, as well as a bye straight into the CAA tournament semi-final game, where they will have home-field advantage.

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks blew through their exhibition match opponents on Wednesday night with an 88-47 routing of Emory & Henry to set up one of the most anticipated games in UNCW basketball history. On Monday, UNCW men’s basketball will travel to Chapel Hill to take on the top-ranked team in the country, the North Carolina Tar Heels.
