Hillary Clinton to release medical records

Hillary Clinton’s campaign stated that it will release medical information regarding the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee this week.

This statement follows an incident Sunday at a memorial for those killed in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, at which Clinton “overheated.” The campaign stated hours later that Clinton, 68, had been diagnosed with pneumonia, despite Clinton’s initial decision to disclose the information only to her aides and family members.

The campaign has apologized for mishandling the incident with a non-immediate response and that pneumonia is Clinton’s only existing medical condition.

“There’s no other undisclosed condition,” campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said Monday. “The pneumonia is the extent of it.”

“[Clinton’s] health is good,” said Vice President Joe Biden to a crowd in Charlotte, N.C., before delivering a speech regarding education policy. Biden added, “I’m encouraging her — if the doctor says take three days off, take six days off.”

Donald Trump, Clinton’s Republican opponent in the presidential race, said he takes “no satisfaction” with Clinton’s illness. “Something is going on,” Trump said, “but I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail, and we’ll be seeing her at the debate.”

When asked Monday if he believes Clinton to be healthy enough to serve as President, Senator Mike Pence, Trump’s running-mate, declined to answer. “I’m not a doctor,” Pence said. “I wouldn’t care to speculate.”
