UNC Wilmington (UNCW) will open a free drive-through coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site on campus to serve the Wilmington community. The site will be open starting March 24 and run through April 30.

The testing site will be located in the parking lot at the corner of Hurst Drive and Hamilton Drive, across from the Greene Track and Field Complex. Testing hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Testing is only open to the Wilmington community and not UNCW students, faculty and staff as they have testing available at the Abrons Student Health Center. Additionally, symptoms or possible exposure are not required to get tested.

This testing site is available through a partnership between UNCW, New Hanover County Public Health and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Testing will be operated and run by OptumServe.

To schedule an appointment, visit lhi.care/covidtesting or call 877.562.4850.

UNCW is also set to open a COVID-19 vaccine clinic open to students, faculty and staff by the end of the month.
