WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW women’s basketball announced Tuesday afternoon that it will be postponing its upcoming series with Towson (5-3, 0-1 Colonial Athletic Association) due to a positive COVID-19 virus case within Towson’s program. The Seahawks (3-5, 0-2 CAA) and Tigers were set to square off Jan. 16-17 but will now work to reschedule the series for a later date.

UNCW women’s basketball also announced Tuesday that its upcoming series with James Madison (5-3, 1-0 CAA) will tipoff at noon in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

These announcements come just 24 hours after UNCW men’s basketball had to cancel its last two conference series and marks the first time this season that the Lady Hawks have had to postpone a scheduled matchup due to the COVID-19 virus.
