On its Senior Night, UNC Wilmington (9-19, 5-10 Colonial Athletic Association) took on conference leader Hofstra in a contest that many would call a “storybook ending” for the Seahawk seniors.
Appearing to shake the funk of losing eight of their last nine, including six in a row, the Seahawks played a full 40 minutes of basketball. UNCW took the Pride (22-5, 12-2 CAA) to the wire before pulling away in the final minute to seal the 87-79 victory.
