A tragic car accident Saturday night changed the lives of many UNCW students. Annie McLeod, a senior sociology major and member of the Alpha Gamma Delta soriety, was killed in a two-car crash on North College Road. Kelvin Cardwell, 22, of Wilmington, lost control of his blue Lincoln and it crossed the median and collided with the car she was in. The driver and UNCW student, Tyler Roberts, and passenger and student, Sarah Brown, were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. McCleod’s wake was from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 1 and the funeral was held at 10:00 am on Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church in Wilmington.

A memorial book for Annie has been placed at the Information Desk in the Fisher Student Center.
