UNCW Jazz Combos
Performing at Kenan Auditorium in Wilmington, the UNCW jazz combos have been invited to perform at jazz festivals throughout the world. Tickets cost $10 and the event begins at 7:30 p.m.

UNCW All Blue Week Opening Session
The presentation will be given by author Deborah Westphal. She will present an update on the U.S. Coast Guard’s current activities and future plans and how they will impact coastal North Carolina. Internationally renowned futurist Deborah Westphal, author of “Convergence: Technology, Business and the Human-Centric Future,” will deliver the special keynote address.
UNCW Writers’ Week: A Conversation with Nicole Hannah-Jones
As part of UNCW Writers’ Week at Kenan Auditorium in Wilmington, NC, John Jeremiah Sullivan will be in conversation with Nikole Hannah-Jones. Located at Kenan Auditorium or online and the event begins at 7:30 p.m.

All Blue Week: Sea Change
This event discusses sustainable seafood and environmentally safe methods of aquaculture. The event takes place in person or on zoom at 9 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 4
UNCW Men’s Basketball Exhibition
UNCW men’s basketball plays an exhibition game against Francis Marion. The game begins at 7 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 5
Night Tour at the Burgin-Wright House
Come hear stories of ghosts and colonial times at a night tour of Wilmington’s first jail. The tour begins at 8:30 p.m. and tickets cost $14.
Seaglass Monthly Market
Located in Castle Hayne, NC the seaglass market features items that are handmade, homemade and recreated from old items. The event begins at 9 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 6
15th Annual Cape Fear Kite Festival
The Annual Cape Fear Kite Festival takes place at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. Food trucks and other vendors on site. The event begins at 10 a.m.
4th Annual Artisan Holiday Market
The holiday market features local artists displaying everything from pottery, fiber arts, artisan jewelry, wood and glass art, to metals, soaps, candles and aromatherapy. The market opens at 11 a.m.
UNCW Center for Marine Science Tours
The UNCW Center for Marine Science Tours in Wilmington features a chance to learn about UNCW’s coastal research, is mostly outdoors including Shellfish Research Hatchery, Marine Science Technology, and Research, and Biotechnology Building. Tours begin every 30 minutes and the first one starts at 10 a.m.
Sunday, Nov.7
Paws4vets: Veterans Day 5k
The race is located at Greenfield Lake Park in Wilmington, NC, and features a 5K run or walk with your dog, and a 1-mile fun. All money raised will benefit paws4vets. Admission costs $20 and the race begins at 3 p.m.
