Wednesday, Oct. 20
Hubb’s Corn Maze
Hubb’s Farm in Clinton, NC, features a 15-acre corn maze, a 4.5-acre pumpkin patch, an area with sunflowers and cuddly farm animals. Activities include wagon rides, human foosball, giant slides, mini zipline and live duck races on weekends. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and tickets cost $13.99.
Thursday, Oct. 21
Classic Movie: “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein”
Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington, NC, presents a screening of the classic film, “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” (1948). “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” is a zany horror spoof for all ages that plays into the best of the classic horror clichés. Showtimes are at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 22
Ponies and Pumpkins
Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds Farm in Supply, NC, presents Ponies & Pumpkins featuring hay rides, hand-led pony rides ($5), a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting and pony petting. Enjoy foods such as hot dogs and hamburgers.
Maze Craze
Galloway Farm presents a maze craze with over five miles of trails and games along the way. The event begins at 3 p.m. and admission costs $12.
Phobia Haunted Trail: CarnEvil in the Woods
A haunted trail in Leland, NC featuring live actors. From 8 p.m. to midnight, this trail may give you nightmares, but the actors cannot touch you. Tickets cost $17.
Halloween Bonfire
The event begins at 5 p.m. and will take place behind Cornerstone Hall. Come enjoy smores and the opportunity to build your own candy bag.
Saturday, Oct. 23
Fall Bazaar
The Annual Fall Bazaar at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Wilmington features handmade crafts, Christmas decorations and gifts and a White Elephant exchange of household items including toys, jewelry and plants. The event is free and begins at 8 a.m.
Halloween Golf Cart Rally
A parade of decorated golf carts the begins in the Publix parking lot and travels down Lake Park Blvd. The event begins at 5 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
Sunday, Oct. 24
Howl-o-ween Costume Contest
New Hanover County Humane Society in Wilmington hosts a Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest for pets and people of all ages. Entry fee is a donation of a can or a bag of cat/dog food. Judging begins at 3:30.
Oktoberfest by Opera Wilmington
Oktoberfest by Opera Wilmington at Wrightsville Beach Brewery features an hour of songs of a celebratory nature. The program spotlights vocalists Isabella Stollenmaier, Tanya Hanano, Melvin Ezzell and Carl Samet and is hosted by OW artistic director Nancy King. Tickets cost $32.10 and doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Movie in the Park: “Hocus Pocus”
The film screening at Wrightsville Beach Park features “Hocus Pocus” (1993) at Wrightsville Beach Park. The film begins at 6:30 p.m.
Monster Movie Madness at the Mansion
Bellamy Mansion Museum in downtown Wilmington, NC presents Monster Movie Madness at the Mansion — a creature double feature with screenings of “Horror Express” (1972) and “Night of the Living Dead” (1968). The first film begins at 6:30 p.m.
The Boo Ball
An evening of costume wearing and dancing to Halloween music at the Leland Cultural Arts Center at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 30
Fall Movie Night
Located at Old River Farms, The Junior League of Wilmington presents a Fall Movie Night Double Feature at Old River Farms in Burgaw, NC. “Coco”(2017) begins at 6:45 p.m. followed by “Hocus Pocus” (1993) at 9 p.m. Doors open at 5:30p.m. Admissions cost $25-$40 per car.
Sunday, Oct. 31
All Hallows Eve Celebration
A Celebration for all ages featuring karaoke, cornhole tournament, fire pit and a trunk or treat. Bring your most creative carved and decorated pumpkin to enter for cool prizes. At the Beach Community Church in Carolina Beach at 5 p.m
