Tuesday, Oct. 12

Murder Mystery Board Game Night

Want to solve a murder? Join the Women in Science and Engineering club as they host this event online at 6 p.m. Decode ciphers, find clues and evidence and piece together the crime.

Chicago In Concert

Live Oak Bank Pavillion presents Chicago. The concert begins at 6 p.m. by the Wilmington Riverwalk. Hits like “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday In The Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” and “Make Me Smile,” are expected.

Cinematique Film Series: “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”

Located at Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington, NC. “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” is a drama based on a documentary staring Jessica Chastain which explores the extraordinary character. Rated PG-13. Running time: 2 hours, 6 minutes. Monday and Tuesday, 7pm; Wednesday, 4 and 7pm.

Wednesday, Oct. 13

Film Screening: “Not Going Quietly”

The film screening at McNeill Hall 1005 on the campus of UNCW features “Not Going Quietly”. The movie follows activist and father Ady Barkan, who is diagnosed with ALS and given four years to live. The screening begins at 6 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.

Hubb’s Corn Maze: Pumpkin Patch and Animals

Hubb’s Farm in Clinton, NC, features a 15-acre corn maze, a 4.5-acre pumpkin patch and farm animals. Activities include wagon rides, human foosball, giant slides and a mini zipline. The event begins at 10 a.m. and prices vary by age.

Intro to Weightlifting; Balance and Unilateral Training

Join professionals at the Rec Center to learn about weight training, balance and unilateral training. The exercise class begins at 4 p.m.

31st Annual Take Back the Night March

Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc and the Domestic Violence Advocacy Council present the 31st Annual Take Back the Night March at the Harrelson Center courtyard in downtown Wilmington, NC. The march begins at 6:30.

Friday, Oct. 15

Night Tour

The Night Tour at the Burgwin-Wright House in downtown Wilmington, NC, is guided by interpreters who reveal the rituals and superstitions of bygone times. Advance registration required. Call for reservations. The tour begins at 9 p.m. and admissions cost $14.

Phobia Haunted Trail

Phobia Haunted Trail: CarnEvil in the Woods in Leland, NC, features an outdoor Haunted House with live actors. Masks are required and admissions costs $17. The event goes from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Write Wilmington

Writers will gather every Friday morning online at 9 a.m. to work with other writers at UNCW and in the community.

UNCWeekends Halloween Kills

Join UNCWeekends for a spooky movie night at AMC Classic Wilmington 16. The film begins at 7:45 p.m.

UNCWeekends Paintball

Come get covered in colors at Crossfire paintball at 6 p.m. The event is hosted by UNCWeekends.

Saturday, Oct. 16

Shrek: Drive-in Movie

Take a few friends and go watch “Shrek” in the Kenan Auditorium Parking lot. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m.

UNCW Men’s Soccer

The Men’s Soccer Team plays CAA opponent James Madison University at the UNCW Soccer Field in Wilmington. The game begins at 7 p.m. and admissions cost $3-$8.

Movie in the Park: “Hocus Pocus”

Leland Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources presents a movie in the park featuring “Hocus Pocus” (1993). A young man moves to Salem, where he awakens a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century. There is no cost for admission and the film begins at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 17

UNCW Concert Choir and Chamber Choir

Performing at Beckwith Recital Hall, the UNCW Chamber Choir and Concert Choir, conducted by Aaron Peisner, is comprised of students in the Department of Music and from across campus. Admission costs $10 and the concert begins at 4 p.m.

UNCWeekends Ghost Tour

Join UNCWeekends to take a walk with Haunted Wilmington Ghost Tours. For $5 you can experience Wilmington’s oldest and most haunted homes and burial grounds.
