UNCW mourns the loss of professor Jeffrey Brudney

On April 4, UNC Wilmington (UNCW) professor Jeffrey Brudney passed away. Since 2012, Brudney has worked with the master of public administration (MPA) program in the public and international affairs department at UNCW.

He taught both graduate and undergraduate courses related to volunteering, public service, public administration and research methods/development. 

Brudney was also a Betty and Dan Cameron Family Distinguished Professor of Innovation in the Nonprofit Sector and the editor in chief of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly. Additionally, he received his doctorate and masters in political science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

He previously taught at the University of Georgia, Cleveland State University, University of Oklahoma and the University of Michigan.

A graveside service will be held on April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Temple of Israel Cemetery. Condolences and service information can be found on the Temple’s website.
