The race for UNC Wilmington’s (UNCW) next Student Government Association (SGA) student body president and vice president will continue following the announcement that neither candidate received a simple majority of the votes.

During a watch party hosted by the SGA via Zoom on March 17, Peter Brucia, senior class president, announced that neither Robby Femson nor Kyle Glover received a majority of the votes to be elected student body president. The same issue occurred between Thomas Wilson and Jake Linker for student body vice president and both candidates tied with 566 votes.

Run-off elections will be held from March 22 at 9 a.m. to March 23 at 3 p.m. Only Fensom and Glover’s names will appear on the ballot for president and Wilson and Linker for vice president.

In addition, the other SGA positions were announced and results will be posted on the SGA’s website.
