WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW men’s basketball announced on Tuesday afternoon that its series with Northeastern on Feb. 20-21 would be postponed due to the COVID-19 virus protocols.

The postponement becomes the twelfth Seahawk game to be postponed this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If no games are made up, Takayo Siddle and the Hawks will finish the year with eight conference games – the minimum requirement to be eligible for the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

The Seahawks last played on Jan. 31 when they loss to Hofstra 89-83 inside of Trask Coliseum. The next opportunity for UNCW to take the floor will come on Feb. 25-26 when they are scheduled to play the College of Charleston in a two-game series to end conference play.

The CAA tournament will begin on March 6 and will be hosted by James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
