WILMINGTON – UNCW women’s basketball will play their first game of the 2020-21 campaign at home on Wednesday, Nov. 25 against Norfolk State. The contest will be the first of seven non-conference games that was released earlier this week.

The Lady Hawks will experience their first road test of the season on Dec. 7 against South Carolina State in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The two teams last played the previous season when UNCW defeated the Bulldogs 84-46 at Trask Coliseum.

UNCW’s conference schedule begins Jan. 2 and 3 at home when they face Drexel on back-to-back days. The Seahawks lost both games against the Dragons last year by a combined three points with the first loss coming in an Overtime heartbreaker.

The Seahawks are coming off a disappointing 2019-20 season when they finished 10-22 overall and 6-12 in conference play. The Hawks won their first round CAA matchup against Charleston before having their second-round game canceled due to COVID-19.
