My best friend and I aren’t speaking. I largely feel like it’s her fault so should I wait for her to reach out to me or vice versa?

Even the closest of friends have disagreements or falling outs. It’s a part of life. People are unpredictable, and sometimes people change. In my humble opinion, I think that the first thing you should do is evaluate the importance of the friendship. Do they hold a meaningful place in your life? What would you be losing if they weren’t around anymore? Now, your answers to those questions will determine what your next step(s) should be. If they did you dirty and you’re just willing to cut your losses, then snip snip all day. But if this is someone that you truly care about and you foresee yourselves getting past it, then fight for your friendship. Say whatever it is that you need to say, let the situation go, and move on. If you want to talk to someone, then talk to them; don’t let pride get in the way of you living your life.

All of my friends are in relationships except for me. Am I doing something wrong?

No, no, no, no, no! You are not doing anything wrong whatsoever. Of course it sucks to see all of your friends happy with their significant others, but cherish this time that you have by yourself. We often look at others with envy because the grass appears to be greener; however, there is value in being single. Relationships are a lot of hard work and while they do come with a plethora of pros, there are quite a few cons. As a single person, you are your only priority. It is good to take to time to get to know yourself and what it is that you expect from a significant other. It’s selfish to be in a relationship just for the attention or without any real intentions of growing with a person. Yes, of course, everyone wants to be “Relationship Goals” and post cute pictures of their “MCM” or “WCW,” but it’s better to be happy by yourself than miserable with someone else. Keep doing you, boo! Your true love will find you and they will be everything that you need.

I grew up going to church, praying, and talking about God but lately, I’ve been having a hard time believing. What should I do?

As this is a part of our lives where we are beginning to discover our true selves, it’s okay to question things about yourself. If you are a spiritual person, I would say that you should pray about it. Maybe not pray to one specific God, but pray to the Universe for some form of guidance. My next piece of advice is to say follow your gut. If we learned anything from “Scandal” and Olivia Pope, it’s that your gut is always right. It could be that your home religion is not for you, and if that’s the case, you can always explore other practices. You could also not be a fan of organized religion and that’s okay, too. The big thing to remember is that you have to be true to yourself for yourself. It does no one any justice if you are pretending to be somebody else. I hope that you find whatever it is that you are looking for.
