UNC Wilmington welcomed Northeastern to the Port City on Thursday night. With an 11-point halftime lead, the Seahawks looked to pull an upset on the no. 2 team in the conference, but second-half struggles plagued the ‘Hawks as they have throughout conference play.
The Huskies (16-9, 10-3 Colonial Athletic Association) would pull it back in the second half, taking UNCW to the wire and slipping by with an 81-77 victory.
The Seahawks fall to 8-19 (4-10 CAA) and drop to the bottom spot in the conference.
