UNC Wilmington Athletics reshuffled fall sports schedules semester after Hurricane Florence caused the school to close two Mondays ago.

Women’s soccer announced its game against Elon on Sept. 20 that was scheduled to be played in Wilmington has been postponed. Men’s soccer moved their game on Sept. 22 against Hofstra from Wilmington to Elon where the game will be played at noon.

Men’s tennis announced that they will not compete in the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, SC from Sept. 21-23. The next scheduled event will be the Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington from Sept. 28-30.

Women’s golf will not compete in the Furman Invitational in Greenville, SC from Sept. 21-23 while the men’s golf team will not compete in the River Run Collegiate in Davidson, NC on Sept. 24-25. Both teams are slated to compete in their next events. For the women, they will travel to Norman, OK to compete in the Oklahoma Schooner Classic from Sept. 28-30. The men will travel to Raleigh to compete in the Wolfpack Invitational from Oct. 6-7.

Volleyball postponed their next two home games against William & Mary on Sept. 21 and Elon on Sept. 23. Volleyball will travel to Delaware on Sept. 30 for their next game.

Men’s basketball also announced that their scheduled tip-off banquet that was to be held at UNCW’s Burney Center on Sept. 20 has been postponed. An update on the status of the event will be provided at a later date.

The keynote speaker for the dinner is former Seahawks head coach and current Clemson head coach Brad Brownell. It is unknown if Brownell will be available for the rescheduled date.

The Seahawk will provide more information on rescheduling as it becomes available.
