No news in the search for a new athletic director is just that — no news. Although UNCW has created a committee to hire a new athletic director, the committee cannot begin reviewing applications until the job has been posted for 30 days, per state regulations.

Dean of the Cameron School of Business Larry Clark heads the committee and will be assisted by Bill Bolduc (Communication Studies), Wes Brown (Sports Medicine), Greg Dalton (senior associated AD), Tammy Hunt (management, marketing and athletics) and Michael Walker (assistant vice chancellor for Student Affairs and dean of students).

The search should conclude in mid-May. Candidates will likely be high-level officials from BCS-member institutions and have good records of fundraising.
