Morton Hall, shown next to UNCW’s iconic white colonnade, was built in 1978 as the humanities building. It has since acquired a reputation of being “quirky,” and proponents of the “Keep Morton Weird” project hope to see the several million dollars requested from the UNC Board of Governors used to preserve the hall’s charm.
