WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced Wednesday that the 2021 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship will be played on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, March 6-9, 2021.

Originally, this year’s tournament was scheduled to take place in Washington D.C. for the second consecutive year. However, due to the COVID-19 virus, CAA commissioner Joe D’Antonio announced the decision to move the event’s location in order to, “provide our student-athletes with the safest means to participate in intercollegiate athletics during a very challenging period of time.”

UNCW will once again look to be in the finale after last season’s 66-55 heartbreak lost to Drexel in the CAA Championship.

The last men’s basketball team to hoist the CAA trophy at an on-campus facility was Navy in 1986 when they won their second straight.
