What is your favorite holiday of the year?

My favorite is New Year’s! I like the idea of a fresh start. I like the change that comes with it. We always get out of school for winter break, go home and we’ll come back to a whole new semester. I like the change that comes with a new beginning.

I’d say that’s my favorite holiday too. It’s a good time to set new goals for yourself!

Do you have any particular memories that you remember with New Year’s?

Our freshman year, she came to visit me, and that’s when we really became best friends. It was a good time! We went out with friends and celebrated the New Year.

What is your favorite season?

My favorite season is summer. Since we live by the beach, I love to visit every now and then and get a nice tan or just relax by the water.

My favorite season is summer. I just think I thrive in warmer weather. I definitely feel more active and motivated. As the weather gets colder, and especially now that it gets darker earlier, I’m more motivated to stay inside and be inactive. It’s a feeling similar to seasonal depression, and it’s definitely real.

What would you say is the most underrated holiday that does not get enough attention?

St. Patrick’s Day! I feel like we as a culture don’t really prep for the holiday, we just participate when the day comes. We should really celebrate it throughout March rather than just a single day. Mardi Gras is like that as well.

For me, I would say Thanksgiving. Poor Thanksgiving always gets skipped over by people that are ready for Christmas. I would say it’s appropriate to put up decorations for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, but anything before that isn’t right!
