Coming off its first home loss of the season, UNC Wilmington (16-10, 9-6 Colonial Athletic Association) celebrated Senior Day on Sunday afternoon against Delaware (13-13, 8-6 CAA).

The Seahawks leaned on performances from senior Chinyere Bell and redshirt junior GiGi Smith. The duo combined for 39 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Junior Lacey Suggs also chimed in with 12 points of her own.

The ‘Hawks would go into the half with a 34-31 lead, never trailing for the rest of the game. UNCW came out on top 72-64.

The Seahawks finish the season on a three-game road trip, with Northeastern coming up next on Friday, March 1 with a 7 p.m. tipoff.
