Coming off a 3-1 weekend to open the season, UNC Wilmington welcomed teal-rival no. 19 Coastal Carolina to Brooks Field.

The Chanticleers (4-0) managed a five-run first inning, putting the Seahawks at an early disadvantage. Another run for Coastal in the fourth made it 6-0.

UNCW battled back scoring five unanswered runs in three innings to make it 6-5, before CCU would rally in the seventh and eighth innings stretching the deficit to five points and putting UNCW away 10-5.

The Seahawks fall to 3-2, as they host Indiana State, Iona and Marshall in the Hughes Bros. Classic this weekend.
