Summer Book Club: “Truly, Devious”

Everyone has a hobby that they only enjoy during the summer months, and if you are anything like me, your hobby may be reading. Over the summer, I will read a new book from many different genres and review them when I have completed them. Feel free to read along, comment, and share your views on our summer book club picks.

For the next two weeks, The Seahawk’s summer book club pick is “Truly, Devious” by Maureen Johnson. In this mystery/young adult novel, a bright girl named Stevie Bell enters into a high school for gifted students, called Ellingham Academy. She learns about the twisted history behind the founder of her school, Albert Ellingham, whose wife and daughter were killed by a serial killer known as ‘Truly, Devious.’ When the serial killer resurfaces and more murders occur, Bell reopens the cold case and works on stopping the murderer.
